Eminem 8 Mile Punchlines
For Eminem 8 Mile is a fictionalized adventures with some analgesic bathe rap battles. I'd like to yield a few account and highlight my admired punchlines that action during the assorted battles and explain why those lyrics are so able in the movie.
Outside the cafeteria truck: "Your appearance is doo doo... You've formed actuality best than me I accomplish added than you do!" followed by "Check this out yo yo, He cashed his accomplished analysis and bought 1 ho ho!"
"I'll able your accept brand and hit you so harder Elvis'll about-face in his grave..."
"So sue me... This is a abhorrence flick, but the atramentous guy doesn't die in this movie"
"Is that a new bra? Look, Snoop Dogg got a boob job!"
These curve accompany a smile to my face every time I watch 8 Mile. So what is it that makes these curve abnormally powerful, and how can action rappers advance their punchlines? As you'll notice, every punchline mentioned actuality has a few elements in common:
They're specific. Whether it's authoritative fun of anyone who's bankrupt or whose shirt is too tight, these punchlines alone plan on the being they're befuddled at. This is why they plan so well; we all accept heard a actor "Yo Mama" jokes, but as we've apparent Eminem (aka B. Rabbit) and .other rappers in the blur do time and time again, specifics are what win the day.
The punchlines are aswell able-bodied delivered. They anniversary accept a abeyance amid the set up and the punchline. Like a ample boxer, it's important to amalgamate a able one-two bite to beating out opponents. Eminem is a able-bodied accepted freestyler, who took additional abode at the Bathe Olympics (which got the absorption of Dr. Dre), and a lot of of the actors in 8 Mile bathe as well. Their bland supply is no accident; for best effect, they abeyance so the admirers can absolutely accept area they're demography the lyrics.
For Eminem 8 Mile as a blur is a adventitious to authenticate his aesthetic skills, rically and on screen. For those who accept apparent the benefit DVD battles, you can absolutely adjure that he can bathe action with anyone on 8 Mile! He was able topple accidental MC's who were called to be account on the blur because they exhausted anybody else. If you haven't apparent the DVD bonus, I awful acclaim it.
As for rappers in movies, which do you prefer? Eminem 8 Mile or 50 Cent: Get Rich Or Die Trying?

John Lennon quotes
John Winston Ono Lennon, MBE (9 October 1940 – 8 December 1980) was an English singer-songwriter who rose to worldwide fame as one of the founding members of The Beatles, and together with Paul McCartney formed one of the most successful songwriting partnerships of the 20th century.
John Lennon played a number of instruments, including percussion instruments and the flute. His first instrument as a child was the banjo. His mother taught him how to play, then bought him an acoustic guitar. His playing on the mouth organ during a bus journey to visit his cousin in Scotland caught the driver’s ear. Impressed, the driver told Lennon of a harmonica he could have if he came to Edinburgh the following day, where one had been stored in the bus depot since a passenger left it on a bus. The professional instrument quickly replaced Lennon’s toy. He would continue to play harmonica, often using the instrument during the Beatles Hamburg years, and it became a signature sound in the group’s early recordings.
John Lennon quotes are many, both from interviews and in song lyrics, but are a lovely way to remember John Lennon’s birthday on October 9. Lennon, who was killed in 1980, would have been 70 years old.
Here are some other famous John Lennon quotes:
“The more I see the less I know for sure.”
“All we are saying is give peace a chance.”
“Reality leaves a lot to the imagination.”
“Everything is clearer when you’re in love.”
“I’m not going to change the way I look or the way I feel to conform to anything. I’ve always been a freak. So I’ve been a freak all my life and I have to live with that, you know. I’m one of those people.”
“A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.”
“There’s nothing you can know that isn’t known.”
“As usual, there is a great woman behind every idiot.”
“Time you enjoy wasting, was not wasted.”
“My role in society, or any artist’s or poet’s role, is to try and express what we all feel. Not to tell people how to feel. Not as a preacher, not as a leader, but as a reflection of us all.”
My favorite John Lennon quote is “Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans,” from the song “Beautiful Boy” Source: The Most Popular Person Now.

Going Back is the last Phil Collins album
Genesis singer and drummer Phil Collins says that Going Back, his new album of R&BCollins. "If I do write songs... I don't know about putting them out on an album or anything like that. I don't really have the desire to do that now."
Of his decision to quit covers, will be his last ever. "I'm not anticipating doing anything else," said music, Phil Collins told Billboard.Com, "It bothers me a lot less than people think it probably would. I've pushed my particular envelope wider than a lot of people probably remember. There's always going to be some things you wish you'd done differently, but in general I'm very proud of what I've done and there's not a lot I haven't tried."
Going Back, which recently debuted at at No. 1 on the UK albums chart (it debuted at No. 34 in the US), reflects Collins desire to be as faithful to the songs he loves - they include classics such as Papa Was A Rolling Stone and (Love Is Like A) Heatwave - as possible. To do so, he recorded with the three surviving members of the legendary Funk Brothers, who played on hundreds of R&B hits.
"I didn't want to bring anything new to the table, really," Phil Collins told The Huffington Post. "I don't mean that in a negative way, I just think that I wanted the record to be an operative of the period, so you would kind of have that feeling you had when you heard the song originally.
"That was an interesting project to try. My engineer and I listened constantly to the originals - when we were recording with The Funk Brothers, doing my demos, and mixing. We constantly referred back to see what it was that made those records and those songs sound so special, and sometimes, it was obviously the way they were recorded because the technology at the time was very limited."
Phil Collins next project is a surprising one: he's working on a book about his huge collection of Alamo and Texas Revolution artifacts. "It's a huge collection of memorabilia from the Alamo and before and after it, basically the Texas Revolution in general," said Collins, who was first inspired by Texas history as a child after seeing the Walt Disney film, Davy Crockett. "It's basically the history of all the things I've collected and putting them in the context of the revolution. It's in progress and it's entertaining."

Alexi Laiho Talks About COB New Album
In a recent interview with Revolver magazine, CHILDREN OF BODOM guitarist/vocalist Alexi Laiho said that he was happy with the decision to work with Hyde. "Our management was pushing the idea," Laiho said, "so eventually it was, 'All right, fuck it. Just to shut them up, let's do it.' We liked the way [Hyde] talked about music and the way he was already so fucking committed. He wanted to do the best fucking CHILDREN OF BODOM album ever and was pretty serious and convincing about that. After five minutes of talking to the dude, we knew he was the guy."
Regarding the musical direction of the new CHILDREN OF BODOM material, Laiho told Revolver, "It's maybe a little more melodic than [2008's] 'Blooddrunk' was. It's maybe more guitar riff-oriented, really '80s guitar and stuff like that."
According to Laiho, the recording sessions for the new CHILDREN OF BODOM album produced nine originals and one cover song that he says is "gonna be fucking funny as shit. I don't think it's something anybody would necessarily want to cover — not a metal band, anyway."
Among the new tracks that are set to appear on the next CHILDREN OF BODOM CD are "Pussyfoot Miss Suicide", "Ugly" and "Was It Worth It?", the latter of which the band shot a video for on October 6 somewhere in north Pennsylvania." Directing the clip was Dale "Rage" Resteghini, who has helmed over 550 music videos since 2003, including clips for such metal bands as MUDVAYNE, HATEBREED, ANTHRAX and SHADOWS FALL. Rage has also directed videos for some of the biggest names in the hip hop world, including Lil Wayne, Diddy, Snoop Dog and Ice Cube.
Regarding the subject matter covered in the "Pussyfoot Miss Suicide" lyrics, Alexi Laiho told Revolver, "I've been involved with stupid chicks who were trying to get attention by being, 'Oh, I'm so fucking depressed. I'm gonna slit my wrists with a cheese grater...' And it's so fucking boring, like, 'Just let it go. You're really not gonna do it, anyway.' It's kind of harsh, but it's fuckin' black humor." "Ugly", on the other hand, is "really just venting and screaming stupid stuff. Nobody should expect anything deep and poetic and sensitive and intelligent, y'know?"

Kings of Leon Took More Than Musical Cues

"If the world is looking for a big band from our generation, we at least want to give it a shot," said 28-year-old singer Caleb Followill, one of three brothers and a cousin in the group named for his grandfather. "We'll put ourselves up there against anyone because we're very competitive and we're family. Yeah, we'll give it a shot. I'm not afraid to at least try."
The admission cuts against the grain of an ambivalence toward success that has run strong in the rock 'n' roll world — coinciding with its diminished influence as a force in popular culture — and the Kings' own wrestling with good fortune.
The Beatles and Elvis Presley never thought twice about wanting to be big stars. The attitude is different today, perhaps dating to Bruce Springsteen's pulling back from his "Born in the USA" stardom and, especially, the suspicion that Pearl Jam and Nirvana felt about popularity. An underground ethos took hold. Most rock artists prefer being part of a subculture and don't make the effort to break through to a wider audience, said Brian Hiatt, senior writer at Rolling Stone magazine.
"It has kind of messed with fans' heads and confused rock music fans about what is acceptable and what is not," he said. The quality of work almost doesn't matter; many fans will simply dump a band when they become popular, he said.
For four albums, the Kings of Leon were underground darlings in the United States, with more mainstream appeal overseas. Things changed with the "Only by the Night" disc in 2008. Buoyed by the hit songs, it sold north of 6 million copies.
That messed with the Nashville, Tenn.-based band's heads. Followill told Spin magazine that they got bigger than they wanted to be. "You feel like you've done something wrong," he told the magazine in December of last year, in a quote he'd live to regret. "That woman in mom jeans who never let me date her daughter? She likes my music. ... Not cool."
Kings of Leon were approached to have their music covered on the Fox television musical series "Glee" and turned down the opportunity. "If you want to be a rock star, you have to keep your credibility," he said. "You need to be offending someone."
Followill acknowledged this week that the popularity initially scared him, making him wonder if he had lost his edge. That's when he thought back to his time spent with U2 — one of the few remaining rock bands that can fill a stadium yet remain a creative force. It's not a bad life, traveling to gigs in plush jets instead of drafty vans.
"You have to step up to the plate and say, `All right, do I have it in me to be one of the biggest bands?'" he said. "Even though that's a lofty goal, you have to come to terms and say, `Can I take the pressure?' We all agreed that we could. There are definitely times where we are second-guessing and wondering why we thought that because there is so much negative that comes along with the positive. People are going to hate you and people are going to want to see you fail because you reach a certain level."
Any remaining self-doubt wasn't evident in the music. Kings of Leon don't fall prey to an indie rock small sound, esoteric for the sake of being so. Guitars soar — U2 is a handy reference point here, too — but Followill's distinctive rough croon prevents edges from being smoothed away.
Yes, there are naysayers. The website The Zeitgeisty Report seemed visibly angry at the size of the bandwagon: "They've become the band that vacuous idiots and bimbos think is `edgy' only they're anything but now."
"They've made an album with an old-fashioned commitment to greatness, a determination to fashion something bold and original," wrote Neil McCormick in the Telegraph newspaper in Britain, where the Kings are seeking their third No. 1 disc.
Reaching the same spot here is a goal they may reach next week. It's no coincidence the Kings released "Come Around Sundown" a week before Taylor Swift dropped her new disc.
The Followill brothers Caleb, 31-year-old Nathan and 24-year-old Jared grew up as the sons of a fundamentalist Christian minister who traveled around the South. They sought big-city energy in recording the new disc in New York. The band, which also includes cousin Matthew Followill, 26, tends to kick around musical ideas in sound checks or in the studio, with Caleb retreating to write lyrics when they settle on a tune they like.
Caleb's particularly proud of the song "Back Down South," where the band invited friends to sing and add a fiddle. It illustrated the strengths of using the studio as an instrument of experimentation, an approach he'd like to expand upon in future recordings. Their father resisted rock 'n' roll when his sons were growing up, Followill said, and now he's one of their biggest fans. Caleb is also pleased to be making something of the family name to Kings of Leon. Before, Followills mostly were known for painting houses. "We've still got a lot of family painting homes," he said. "But they're wearing Kings of Leon T-shirts while they're doing it." Source:
Blink-182 Mark Hoppus Posts Video Update
Blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus has posted a video update from the studio as the band continue to record a long-awaited new album, their first new music since the self-titled effort of 2003. The clip is, conveniently, right below.
"I think we're going to try and come back [to the UK] in Summer next year," Mark Hoppus"It all depends on how fast we write the next record but we're already making plans to come back as soon as possible."
told at Reading Festival. Mark Hoppus, the video was great but get on with it, finish the record and come tour already! The clip is, conveniently, right below.

Paramore Announce New Single - Playing God

Critical response to Brand New Eyes was mostly positive. According to Metacritic, the album holds a score of 73 out of 100, indicating "generally favorable reviews". Paramore also try and showcase their maturity by chucking a couple of slowies into the mix. ‘The Only Exception’ turns out to be a rather sappy, nondescript love song, which doesn’t quite warrant the abrupt change of pace. It feels like something Katy Perry would dismiss for being too lightweight, with its mechanical, campfire strumming and general uninspiring air.
Currently on a headline tour of Australia, Japan and New Zealand, and fresh from performing at this year’s VMA’s, Paramore will be back in the UK for a run of headline dates in November. The forthcoming UK tour follows their sold out arena tour at the end of 2009, as well as performances at this summer’s Reading & Leeds festival.
Having so far performed live in front of over 1 million people in 2010, Paramore are due to play their biggest headline shows to date in the UK, adding over a 100,000 people to that already impressive audience figure.

Take That

In 2005 the group reformed without Williams and achieved new success as a four-piece scoring a string of chart hits whilst taking the number of records sold to over 40 million worldwide. In July 2010, Robbie Williams' return to the band was confirmed. In total the band have had 22 top forty singles in the UK alone, 11 of which have reached #1 as well as having five number 1 albums.
Williams having left the band in 1995, the rest of Take That split up in 1996. However, after a 2005 documentary and the release of a new greatest hits album, they officially announced a 2006 reunion tour around the United Kingdom, entitled The Ultimate Tour. On 9 May 2006, it was announced that Take That were set to record together as a band once again.
On 7 June 2010 the news broke of a single called "Shame" which had been written by Barlow and Williams and which would features the vocals of both artists. This was the first time the pair had worked together since 1995 and would appear on the second greatest hits collection of Williams. The single peaked at number 2 on the UK singles chart whilst also achieving success throughout Europe.
On 15 July 2010, Robbie Williams announced he was returning to Take That. A joint statement between Williams and the group said "The rumours are true... Take That: the original lineup, have written and recorded a new album for release later this year," read the band's statement. "Following months of speculation Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange, Mark Owen and Robbie Williams confirmed they have been recording a new studio album as a five-piece, which they will release in November."
The lead single from Take That's forthcoming album Progress has been announced as "The Flood" and will be released 07 November, with the album released a week later on 15 November. Take That announced on 19 October that they had considered changing the name of the band to The English prior to the release of their sixth studio album. They decided against this after Williams' return to the band, choosing to maintain the name that made them famous.
Take That held a press conference in London today to announce Take That new tour dates. The band revealed that the Progress Live 2011 tour will include cities such as Manchester, Dublin, Glasgow and London, kicking off in Sunderland on May 30. It’s been a big couple of months for the reunited group and especially for Robbie, who married Ayda Field in August.
Slipknot's Issues Threat

Gray’s body was found in a hotel room in May after falling victim to an accidental overdoes of subscription painkillers. The band have sent crossed signals about their future since then – but now Crahan has issued a threat on his colleagues’ behalf.
In an emotional heart-stirring speech he tells Sirius XM: “Starting the band with Paul, I have a heavy responsibility to think about what he would have liked for what we started together. It wasn’t just Paul and I in this band, let’s make that clear, but we started something together.
“He’s so big right now, so it’s time for the rest of us to get what we’ve always needed. The big bands need to get the fuck out of my face. The industry needs to get the fuck out of my face. Everybody needs to get out of our way because we’re going to spread the seed.
“It’s going to take time, but this is a threat. Today is a threat, a new beginning. And that’s how I want it to be.”
Crahan says coming to terms with the loss of Gray has helped him understand more about what Slipknot are as a group of artists. He believes the loss will act as the strongest motivation they’ve ever had.
“It’s horrible, but he speaks in volumes,” the percussionist explains. “As bad as this sounds, everything happens for a reason – and I’m going to miss him every day of my life. There’s not going to be a day I don’t mention Paul Gray.
“But every day I wake up is a blessing, and I want to remember that. I want everybody in the world to remember that. The world is on its way out and we’ll be the band that will play the music for its way out.
“We will never be the same. You will never be the same. Here’s to the future and our continuing evolution.”
In recent months various members of the now eight-strong band have voiced support for continuing its career, with the notable exception being frontman Corey Taylor, who’s refrained from committing himself, insisting it’s too early for him to understand how he feels.
In Flames New Album Updates

“Pre-prod is almost finished, songs are almost done and we are almost ready to start the actual recording of our next album! We’ll be releasing exclusive clips filmed for our fan club Jesterhead.com starting sometime in the next week.”
Guitarist Jesper Strömblad quit IN FLAMES in February in order to continue receiving treatment for his alcohol addiction.
The band spent the last few months touring the world with Strömblad's temporary replacement, Niclas Engelin from the Swedish band ENGEL.
Engelin had helped IN FLAMES on a couple of occasions in the past and is no stranger to the band's songs or the touring life.
Cardiology - Good Charlotte's Fifth Album
The band frequently tweeted during the recording process, giving updates to fans. In late July 2009, Joel Madden mentioned that they were close to track listing the album. On August 9, 2009, Benji Madden mentioned on his twitter that they had yet to record the songs but they were written. On the August 25, 2009 Benji announced on the official Good Charlotte website that the band were in the final stages of tracking and recording the album. At the time, the album was being produced by Howard Benson, who is known for such albums as My Chemical Romance's Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, and The All-American Rejects' Move Along. However, the band didn't feel right about the sound of the album because Howard Benson focused on making it a commercial success. On January 24, 2010 Good Charlotte announced they had finished the album, but were going to completely scrap it and record with a different producer, Don Gilmore, who also produced their first and fourth records, the self-titled CD and Good Morning Revival.
Good Charlotte released their first single "Like It's Her Birthday" from the new album on August 24, 2010. The band posted the song online August 5, 2010, and wrote on their website that if the YouTube video of the song receives more than 100,000 views, they will post another song from the album. The video reached 100,000 views on August 15, 2010 and the band released "Counting the Days" as a video on their YouTube channel and announced that it will be the second single from the album. The music video for Like It's Her Birthday has camoes from The Maine's lead singer John O'Callaghan and guitarist Kennedy Brock and Boys Like Girls's lead singer Martin Johnson and guitarist Paul DiGiovanni.
Cardiology unfolds just as you’d expect it to, with a consistent batch of songs that border on blatantly formulaic, but provide enough catchy melodies to make you forget all of that as you sing along. Although the guitars are distorted and the percussion is driving, you’d be hard-pressed to call this a rock album, unless your entire music collection consists of Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift.
At times, Cardiology feels a bit forced (see “Introduction to Cardiology”) or overly gimmicky (“Counting The Days”), but there are some solid musical moments in between. Good Charlotte does attempt to expand its horizons on several tracks, but too often it backfires; “Like It’s Her Birthday” begins with a Franz Ferdinand-esque guitar line and Enrique Iglesias hooting before it returns to typical pop fare.
For a “rock” band, Good Charlotte doesn’t do quite enough rocking on Cardiology, and to compare this album’s “1979″ to the Smashing Pumpkins’ “1979″ shows just how wide music executives have stretched the rock genre to accommodate mainstream tastes and reach the teeny-bopper ears that dominate parents’ purses.
The final track on Cardiology is the titular track, and it’s another example of Good Charlotte trying too hard that comes off sounding awkward – is it a joke, or is the band trying to make a statement? Hard to say, but two things are certain – Good Charlotte to stick to its proven formula, and, joke or not, Good Charlotte is laughing all the way to the bank.
Dave Grohl's Reunion
Dave Grohl admits teaming with former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic and producer Butch Big again was a strange experience. Dave Grohl found working with his former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic "a little weird".
The Foo Fighters frontman is joined by the bassist on a track on his current group's new album and admits he found recording together again for the first time in over a decade bizarre, particularly as the studio session was overseen by Butch Vig, who produced Nirvana's defining 'Nevermind' LP.
Dave said: "To be in the same room as Krist and Butch for the first time in so long was a little weird. But it was cool that we survived. As he was leaving here I said in a cute voice, 'I love you, Krist', and he said in a similar voice, 'I love you, too!' "
It is not known is Krist played either bass or accordion on the track, which is expected to be included on Foo Fighters' forthcoming seventh album.
Whether Krist will be playing accordion or bass in the track is something that has not been made public. This track is going to be a track in the upcoming album of the Foo Fighters.
In the year 1994, the front man of Nirvana Kurt Cobain killed himself and the group was extremely popular during that time. While Dave’s present band is as successful as Nirvana, he still fears about the band’s survival. Dave Grohl said that he sees new bands come up and sells a lot of copies and he thinks to himself that these bands will destroy the Foo Fighters. Then he thinks that it was exactly what had happened to him when he was a kid.
Foo Fighters New Album
Dave Grohl talks summer fests...
Tickets for Foo Fighters' back-to-back July 2nd and 3rd shows at Milton Keynes Bowl go on sale today. The band may also headline 2011's T In The Park a few days later. Dave Grohl told NME that the band would be playing all of the "big ones", though he couldn't say which ones just yet.
Grohl said the Foo Fighters new album, out in the first half of 2011, is made for stadium shows. "I want to play the album at night live in front of 70,000 people," declared Grohl. "It's a festival album because it fucking rocks!"

Kings Of Leon on MTV Europe Music Awards
The Kings Of Leon rode Southern swagger (and some seriously tight trousers) to success in Europe long before fans in the States were singing along to anthems like "Use Somebody." So you'd think they'd be plenty confident heading in to Sunday night's (November 7) 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards, where they're performing and are up for two awards: Best Live Act and Best Song. But, you'd be wrong. See, in both categories, the Kings find themselves up against juggernauts like Lady Gaga, Muse, Linkin Park and, uh, Ozzy Osbourne, which means that, honestly, they're pretty much expecting to go home empty-handed.
See, it's true: All famous people do talk to each other. And if you're thinking that the Followills are just displaying the same modesty that fellow EMA nominees 30 Seconds To Mars demonstrated when MTV News asked them about their chances of taking home an award, well, you'd be right, to some degree. A moment later, Caleb Followill — showcasing the swagger that made KOL international sensations and which they showed off during a Saturday rehearsal of their hit "Radioactive" — looked at his brothers, cracked a wry smile and let his true feelings be known.
On the red carpet, mere minutes before the show kicked off, the Kings of Leon promised that their 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards performance would probably be the first time they played "Radioactive" on this scale. And in a way the song felt both epic and intimate, if that's what they meant.
The group hit the stage, filling the giant scale of the room with their rockness. They didn't miss a note as third big act of the night, following up Shakira's hip-shaking performance and 30 Seconds to Mars' collaboration with Kanye West at the preshow.
With nothing but a few spotlights on them, Caleb Followill and his band brought some good old American Southern hospitality to the show. The guys were up for two awards at the big show, including Best Live Act and Best Video, but they didn't show any nerves as they let their song speak for itself during their performance.
The song's general rocking capabilities made the performance epic, but at the same time, the sparse lighting gave it the intimacy of a club gig, despite the fact that they were playing the Caja Magica for an awards show. Perhaps there were no evident show-night jitters because the Kings of Leon didn't think they had any chance of winning. "I think our chances are slim to more than slim," KOL frontman Followill laughed. "And slim just left," drummer (and brother) Nathan added. "So we're not going to win at all."
